Ms Elly came to me after I had waited for 5 years for a puppy from Sigurd Wilberg in England. I had met him and his wife at the Crufts Dog Show in England after seeing his dogs on his website. I had been waiting for a particular stud dog to sire a litter and that never happened. So, Sigurd came up with a solution. I could have Ms Elly bred to Matty and whelp the litter in America, where Ms Elly would then stay and hopefully finish her American Championship.

She was very outgoing, had a great coat and a nice body. While pregnant with her first litter, she won the Absolute award at her very first field trial - actually the first time I had ever taken her off leash, too!!! She adored hunting but unfortunately, timing was off and she was never able to get back in the field.

Although she was entered in some conformation shows, Ms Elly really didn’t like that venue very much and I didn’t push her. If she wasn’t happy, she didn’t need to show!

She was a great mom to both of her litters and now lives the charmed life with a standard dachshund roommate and a baker for her human slave.
